Catch up on all our November News and Important December Dates: mark your Calendars for the December 15th Release of Six Months of Saturdays, the first CD of Saturday Morning Canasta Club, the first group signed to the Abubilla Music label.
Thanks for looking at more… always a risk when you insert one of those ‘more thingees.’ In November, we’ve been focused on getting the Website up and ready for launch (Dec 4th). But you’ll know that because you’re reading this. We are also finalising mixes for the CD, which will head to production on December 4th as well. So Louise and Rob have been working on the CD cover, liner notes. And Jimmy and Andy (mostly Andy) have been working on the final mixes. All will be resolved by Dec 4th, but raging debates around which versions of Sandy and Too Many Weddings. Otherwise we’re all just scatching our heads on why every song is between 4.25-4.35 seconds. So much for quality over quantity.
Jimmy has been playing around with blogs and is determined to get Small Plane Crashes Amongst Musicians as the number 1 tagged item. So far it is competing with Diet Coke and Pizza.
But the big November news is the launch of the Winter 2009 Spanish Jam. Everyone is decending on Marbella on November 26th (US Thanksgiving) and staying for four days for non-stop Jamming. Goal is to get down some initial tracks for one of our 2010 CD’s.
So Buenas Dias from Southern Spain, where it is raining on the plane. Sadly.
