Background to Lyrics of Brad and Janet’s Oldest Daughter, Frankie

Some songs just start with a phrase. I was watching Rocky Horror and thought forward, figuring that Brad and Janet would have a daughter and of course, she would be named Frankie. And we would actually be Frank’s but only Janet would know. Made sense. And made sense that Frankie would be pretty wild and probably start a bar in Soho, collecting some of the stragglers from the Castle — keeping the dream alive. Liked Meatloaf with Eddie line (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rocky_Horror_Picture_Show#Plot )Seemed a cool Chapter 2 to a story we all know, so played around doing the same for Snow White and Romeo and Juliet. I liked the idea of the Seven Dwarfs driving away Prince Charming — they had too good of a thing to let one guy get in the way. Also liked that idea the families of Romeo and Juliet hanging out at Christmas with the couple, who were saved thru competent A&E. So that was it. All seemed a bit silly, so added a Middle 8, which hopefully switched the song a bit to a love song – the singer wishing that she had a couple more chapters with her lover.
