Banksy

Banksy has been brought to my attention due to the dark Simpson Intro that he created. Jimmy blogged about it, so have a read and a watch.
So I thought I’d have a look at some other stuff he’s done.
This is very cheeky:
“Hundreds of Paris Hilton albums have been tampered with in the latest stunt by “guerrilla artist” Banksy. Banksy has replaced Hilton’s CD with his own remixes and given them titles such as Why am I Famous?, What Have I Done? and What Am I For? He has also changed pictures of her on the CD sleeve to show the US socialite topless and with a dog’s head. A spokeswoman for Banksy said he had doctored 500 copies of her debut album Paris in 48 record shops across the UK. She told the BBC News website: “He switched the CDs in store, so he took the old ones out and put his version in.” But he left the original barcode so people could buy the CD without realising it had been interfered with.”
And then he went and graffitied an elephant!
This is seriously cool, no one knows what he looks like, it makes me wonder when he paints? Seeing as it’s all in public and he’s anonymous, maybe he’s like batman and he wears a disguise… and only works in the dead of night. How amazing would it be to catch him at work. He mentions in his book, Wall and Piece, that as he was starting to do graffiti, he was always too slow and was either caught or could never finish the art in the one sitting. So he devised a series of intricate stencils to minimise time and overlapping of the colour.
