How to Guide: Our Voices Team
Written by Jimmy
This is a ‘how to guide’ for all of you that are part of our voices gang — for those that aren’t, read on because this will convince you to join.
First, This is our 5 step guide to Voices. And it will teach you to embed images in blogs:
But, I digress. This is your five step guide to Voices…
- First, voices is our grand social experiment to create a global discussion about music. Okay, Voices is about a small group of music junkies, blogging to their hearts delight about music (that will turn into a grand global phenomenom… hmmmm). That’s you! You might want to talk about the music of your past and turn the rest of us on to it — or direct us away from it, depending on how your formative years were. You might want to talk about the music of your city or country. You might want to talk about the music of today, turning us on (or off) to the latest, greatest stuff you’re listening to. We don’t mind, because the rest of us just like music and maybe you’ll come up with something really good. Something good like this:
- Second, to join voices, you simply need to e mail us. All we need is your city, your ‘two line blurb’ about yourself and love of music, and then we’ll set you up with a blog and it would be great if you’d be willing to send a blog at least every two months.
- Third, once you’ve got the blog, there life is really simple. Lou has sorted it all out for you, with three easy blogs:
- Fourth, now, you are really free to do whatever you want as Voices, but we do have examples:
- Song Discoveries (e.g., from London, from Seattle)
- Magic Dust
- Top 5
- Ramblings…
Magic Dust or Song Discovery: The Choice Is Yours
- Fifth, final tip. If you don’t want to be bothered blogging, then you can just e mail us with your ramblings and we’ll convert into blogs with all the links, embedded videos & images.
Then, magically, you will appear on our Voices map (up and running late March) and the magic begins. You travel the world, find music you like and start chattin with the planet. And the rest of us just enjoy the chaos you create. Who wouldn’t want to be part of this? Well, Sammy the Angry cat for one. Toby the stupid dog for two. And Martyn; he’s too busy worrying livestock.
