I think I just turned mellow

Turned a year older this week. Didn’t wake up with that excited feeling in the pit of my stomach. Got a card from someone I love that they also gave me last year but this year they also left the price on the back…umm…but that was fine. Ive got a surprise coming next weekend so holding out on the card rage that I may otherwise have felt.
Work was amazing…I don’t often say that. Chocolates and flowers in abundance.
Went home and again didn’t feel that special. I think when I was a year younger I did get that feeling. but this year it wasn’t there so much.
So maybe this is the start of the relaxed, more centred, less emotional late twenties I’ve not been waiting all my life for. Been listening to a lot of dance/lounge/chilled music recently. Maybe it’s all down to the cursed music.
My I-Pod keeps choosing this one off shuffle. Now I love it. Tiny sax solo 4mins in…Hopefully by that point you’re calm and not thinking about how birthday cards can get you down.
