Martyn’s Top Ten
Written by Martyn Ward
The first in a series of My Top Tens. I’ve started with an easy one.
My Top Ten favourite rock/pop guitar solos. Where possible I’ve found the artist on Youtube. Sometimes the footage is not great but you’ll get the feel of the guitarist. Actally there is no footage because I couldn’t get it to embed. I’ll sort it out over the weekend.
1) All Along the Watchtower. Shawn Lane
2) How Long. Ace
3) In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed. Allman Brothers
4) Sloe Gin. Joe Bonamassa
5) Memories. Joe Satriani
6) Led Boots. Jeff Beck
7) Carlos Santana
8) Goin’Home (Woodstock) Alvin Lee
9) Manhattan, Eric Johnson
10) Sultans of Swing. Mark Knopfler
Martyn,
Here’s another vote for “How Long” by Ace. What a song. It’s finally available on iTunes as a single. Any song with the words “your friends with their fancy persuasions” is OK by me.
