Nerves-a-jangling

Written by

When I get nervous I go through a lot of different feelings and get confused and normally end up saying something nonsensical, inappropriate or just plain stupid.

Today I am nervous for many different reasons and I feel a need to share the feeling…

There’s a pain in my heart.  The valves and essential tube things running to my heart aren’t working properly.  Theyr’e pumping too much blood and oxygen to my already struggling brain.

My eyes are blinking so much I might as well be in the fountain part of Professor Burp’s bubble ride at Chessington World of Adventures.  Rave on.

My legs keep betraying me.  I stand up and there’s nothing to support me, knee caps starting to shake against tendons and muscle.

Hands are clammy and that’s never nice.

But then every now and then I think about why I’m so nervous and I get a secret little thrill running down my spine all the way to my little toes.  And I realise Im pretty much just as excited as scared right now.

So there you go.
