11.10.22 This Week in the Studio

We had most of the band back in the studio for the first time since the October Launch part for King Henry’s Tears. Mike on drums, Rob on bass, Andy and Martyn on Guitars, Jimmy on buttons. Pizza ordering was a shared duty. In the late afternoon we were joined by Greg Barnes, who returned with dozens of stories of his trip across the US of A.
We ran through all of Tati K’s discovery album, deciding various over-dubs. But main focus was on Let It Be where we put down new bass and drum parts. Mike and Rob maintained their strong bias for less is more, hoping to avoid some over-dub excesses.
We then switch to Astronauts, leaving quite a bit of time for the boys to jam around a bit. Rob covered both drum and bass as Mike had left by then and Andy and Martyn had a good time doing an old fashioned guitar dual.
We were then joined by Greg Barnes, back from his US trip. He will be starting some new videos for Abubilla Music, but in the meantime, enjoy party tricks:
