Nag a Ram

Written by

In our early days, we had a lot of blogs about worrying livestock.  Please don’t ask why.  Well this is a blog about Anagram’s – or ‘nag a ram’, which is just anagramy but decidedly not about worrying livestock.   We are very sure that anagramy should be a word, i.e., something is just having fun with anagrams.  Not dissimilar from something being puny.  But we digress.

The decision to write a blog about anagrams was prompted by Sophie’s revalation on facebook that poor Kate Middleton’s anagram is ‘naked tit model.’   This was completely wasted on the world until the French snapped photos, so let’s at least thank the French for not putting so a witty anagram to waste.   This led us to look at other anagram’s that have made the rounds and try to come up with our own.  So here’s the best we found on the internet:

1.  A Timely one given US elections:  Georges Bush = He Bugs Gore.

2. Best Literary:  William Shakespeare = I’m a weakish speller.

3.  Best commetn on social ills:  Public Relations = Crap Built on Lies

4.  Most Accurate Assessment of recent military conflict:  Weapons of Mass Destruction = US Team Swoops, Finds no Trace.

5. For the mathmatically minded:  Eleven Plus Two = Twelve Plus One

6. For the drinker:  Bottom’s up = A pubs’ motto.

7.  For Hunter who just left for uni:   Dormitory = Dirty Room.

8.  For code-breakers:  The Morse Code = Here Come Dots.

9.  For lovers:  Say it With Flowers = We Flirt so This Way.

10. For those who love those who love emptry Chairs:  Clint Eastwood = Old West Action.

Okay, so now on to music anagrams, with some music interludes to keep you entertained:

1.  Elvis = Lives [Sadly, in contrast, we have the opposite as well:  Elvis Aaron Presley = Seen Alive?  Sorry Pal!  [And we give you a nice acoustic version of Elvis during his GREAT ’67 comeback tour]

2. Madonna Louise Ciccone = One Cool Dance Musician. [And we give you a nice little cover]

3.  Little Richard = Thrill Ride Act

4. And finally, here’s a great one:  The late John Lennon, Sir Paul McCartney, the late George Harrison, and Ringo Starr =In long careers, they all once sang major hits in a rather talented Northern group.  [And a nice little acoustic version of Something from George]
