As a Scot (well, I’m half Scottish), I was immediately sold on Chrvches – the Scot synth band from Glasgow. But ignoring my bias, they are a super cool band, definitely worth a listen. And I’m not alone in thinking this, as they came 5th in the BBC’s Sound of 2013 competition (incidentally, Haim came first).

Their debut album – The Bones of What You Believe – is pretty fab, with my highlights being Under The Tide, where you can enjoy a delightful Scottish accent, Recover, which you will probably recognise and Lungs.
