The Fever….
Written by Jimmy
Just finished Neil Young’s autobiography, Waging Heavy Peace. To be frank, I was a bit disappointed, simply because he spent too much for my liking talking about his cars, his ‘thank you’s’ to friends and his Pono Project. As a MASSIVE NEIL YOUNG fan, I wanted to learn so much more about his music, his time with each of the bands, the origins of songs/ideas – there was too little of that and believe it or not there is more about his songs in the Decade liner notes than this book. Oh well.
But I did learn one tid bit. While suffering from a fever, he wrote in one long night, Cinnamon Girl, Cowgirl in the Sand, and Down by the River. He tuned his guitar three different ways and came up with three songs. That is a hell of a fever.
