Hannah’s Top Five: 10.03.06
Written by Hannah
Here I am again with more stuff I like on the website:
1. Dr. Seuss is my all time favourite children’s author in the world. So when I discovered a blog about him whilst browsing today, I got a bit excited. It’s his birthday. It reminded me of learning to read and words like ‘Lorax’ and ‘Thidwick’ and ‘Jungle of Nool’. He’s fantastic and he says things like:
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
Favourite Book of his: The Sleep Book
2. And then I just love this pun. I am so slow with these things though so I had to sit and stare at it for a bit, hopefully you’ll be quicker than me.
Also just a quick appreciation for the phrase “Lo and behold”. It’s like the word “Alas”, equally effective. I love it.
3. Song Discovery: 10.02.14 Valentines Special gave me the ‘aaaah’ feeling because of Andy’s addition of ‘Feels like Home-Randy Newman’. I checked it out and immediately recognised his gorgeous voice. Why? Toy Story. One of the best Disney films of all time. I appreciated this. It really sent me back, and I also like this blog anyway because Louise’s contribution to it is ‘Samson’ by Regina Spektor with a nice reference to me :). That is a great song, check out ‘Poor Little Rich Boy’ too, she really is a genius. I love her chair percussion.
4. The ‘Top 5: 10.01.05 Best of Rude Tube‘ blog. Rudetube is a great programme for someone who doesn’t want to concentrate too hard, it picks out the shiniest items out of the Youtube treasure chest and shows the world on e4! My personal favourite on rudetube was the music video ‘Here it goes it again’ by OK Go. But I also love the sneezing panda!
And talking of youtube videos, if you have a cat, watch Simon’s Cat-‘Cat Man Do’, it’s hilarious and very accurate!
5. I just love the video ‘The Knife Will Come’, not only is it a particularly good SMCC song, but the video’s really cool too and very soon there will be more videos for us all to enjoy. So check the video out.
And that concludes Hannah’s Top 5 things she likes on the website for this week.
Enjoy.
