Nomenclature
Written by Louise
This is the actual title of a document I have saved on my computer, which recorded all the names we bandied about for the label, for the band, for the CD. It’s slightly absurd but, if you’re interested, here’s the actual list I compiled… (why would you?!)
I would just like to say now, that I didn’t come up with all these ideas – the rubbish ones are definitely not mine.
As suggested by Jimmy, I (ahem, we) focussed the idea search around themes… God, I am so embarrassed.
Nomenclature

Label Name Ideas:
- Clutch Records – a clutch being a group of something. Or a nest of birds’ eggs hatching.
- Clustered Records
- Mass Music
- Diffuse Music – opposite of collective. I like this one! I like the internal rhyme.
- Merge (Music)
- Misplaced Music
- Uprise Records
- Wax and Wane
- Spanish Jam
- Mermelada Music – ‘mermelada’ is Spanish for ‘jam’, the stuff you have on toast that bees love.
Well, wasn’t that fascinating… I hope these ideas inspire you. I very much doubt they will.
