Jam Jars

There’s an amazing shop in Hammersmith, not unlike Aladdin’s cave (yup, seen it with my own eyes), that has all sorts of odds and sods to do with the kitchen in incredibly narrow aisles with towering shelves.
Being an actress, I have no money and Christmas presents are often homemade (and usually edible). I make an amazing chocolate cornflake crunch (Nigel Slater recipe), and a super-buttery and delicious shortbread (Delia) which, last Christmas, I put in large and assorted glass jars. The jars end up being the main gift, because they’re extraordinary.
